My Gloriosa Table will be featured in the Wilson Arts 2022 National Multi-Media Juried Art Show from October 13th through November 11th.
I became all consumed with the concept of turning raw wood tables into gardens, forests, a celebration of the earth by adding artificial flora, collaging with variegated tissue and painting. It became my love letter, my gift, my apologia to Mother Nature. In this time where more and more humans are disconnected from the natural world, it makes it so easy to abuse her, take her for granted and not understand that we are the stewards who must keep the forests, oceans, air and our animal kin alive and thriving. It became my small way of giving back.
