One of my new cold wax figures will be in the online exhibit Rebels at HMVC Gallery. Rebels are at the core of every culture. A Rebel is someone who breaks the rules, resists authority, or otherwise challenges the status quo by doing things in a nontraditional way. David Bowie famously sang about Rebels and to honor their unique traits and attributes, this group Show celebrates Rebels. Throughout history, Rebels have changed a lot of things for the better whether it be Civil Rights, Women’s Rights and LGBTQ+ Rights. Right now, Rebels are more important than ever because Rebels are willing to stand up and speak the truth. Rebels are fighting for justice and my painting is just that: a Rebel for justice who refuses to back down. See Rebels of all kinds in this group show @HMVC gallery. I hope this show reminds us all of the importance of being Rebels who stand up and fight for what we hold dear and never back down. The show will be up until November 30th.
