One of my abstract cold wax Fractals is in HMVC’s first online group show of 2024 titled Unveiling The Layers. HMVC is a wonderful gallery in New York. They’ve chosen to explore the intriguing notion of ‘layers’ as the focal point of this show. HMVC shares, “Throughout art history, layers have been more than just a visual element; they embody depth, complexity, and hidden narratives waiting to be uncovered. Whether it be a physical layer (different textures or materials), an emotional layer (depicting different emotional states or experiences), a cultural or historical layer (exploring different traditions, narratives, or customs), or even a societal layer (examining different ideologies, social constructs, or political systems). Unveiling the Layers is a show where artists can peel back the layers.” Find out more about the show on HMVC’s website. The show will be up until January 31st.
